York, Pa.-based Engel North America Inc. will show its new CC300 control, installed on an all-electric Engel e-mac injection press at the MD&M 2014 show in Minneapolis Oct. 29-30.
The CC300 uses intuitive gesture controls found on smartphones, giving simple navigation.
A new e-move feature gives “one-button operation” of the injection molding. This intelligent controller lets you manually direct all machine and robot movements down to the millimeter, at an speed, before production just be pressing the e-move.
A 21-inch multi-touch, high-definition display has excellent light contrast in any lighting conditions and from all angles.
At MD&M, the press will run a side-gated, 64-cavity runnerless pipette tip mold from Cavaform International LLC and a hot runner controller from IMSI Inc.
