SCHAUMBURG, ILL. — Solon, Ohio-based Plastics Machinery Group is expanding its machinery offerings by adding injection molding machines to its inventory and adding a dedicated sales team to market targeting that sector.

PMG currently sells equipment for thermoforming, rotational molding, extrusion and blow molding. The company also sells new and used auxiliary equipment and offers other services, including appraisals, consulting for mergers and acquisitions and remanufacturing.

PMG President Donald Kruschke explained the move in an interview at the Society of Plastics Engineers Thermoforming Conference in Schaumburg, where the machinery seller exhibited.

The company currently is offering a number of injection molding presses, including a 2006 Husky with 3,150 tons of clamping force, a 700-ton Negro Bossi from 2006 and a 2008, 260-ton Engel.

Kruschke said PMG has possession of all the machines and does not act as a broker.

“This is the final piece needed in reinforcing PMG’s status as the industry’s premier equipment dealer,” Kruschke said in a news release announcing the new injection press business. “We now offer the full range of plastics processing equipment.”
